Concert Invitation from Aaron Hansen

Hi everyone!!  Hope you all having a great March!  Just wanted to invite the chapter to my 6th grade program on Tuesday, March 16th at 7:00pm at the Waverly-Shell Rock High School.  I am very excited about the work my kids have done on this program and would love for you to see some Orff-Schulwerk in action.  The program is themed around the Moon and the kids will be playing pieces from the volumes with choreography created by them.  Would love to have some chapter members present!  Aaron

Kodály Chapter Workshop, Saturday March 6th at UNI

Hi all,

Kodály Educators of Iowa will host Sister Lorna Zemke who will be presenting a great workshop this Saturday, March 6 (at UNI) this weekend. You do not need to have any Kodály training to attend. She will be talking about getting jazz into our curriculums and will present a lot of fun and worthwhile activities (geared for upper elementary and middle school) on how to easily add more of this style of music into our teaching.  She will also be bringing items from the Silver Lake catalog that will be available for sale.  She is a fabulous presenter and we hope you'll be able to attend!
